After several thousand years, civilization has progressed to a point where we lock all our doors and windows every night while jungle natives sleep in open huts.

Your neighbor's windows look a great deal better when you wash your own.

Husband to wife: I've just discovered oil.

Excited wife: That's great! Now we can get a new car.

Husband: We'd better get the old one fixed first....that's where the oil's coming from.

Piano tuner: Hello, I'm a piano tuner. I've come to tune your piano. Lady: But we didn't send for a piano tuner. Piano tuner: I know, but your neighbors did.

It's good to have money, and the things money can buy, but it's good, too, to check up once in a while and make sure you haven't lost the things money can't buy.

LITTLE THINGS

You may think it not much........just a little word.
But it could be the very thing to turn around someone's day.
A pat on the shoulder. No big deal you think.
Might be much bigger than you could ever think. It might
make all the difference to someone needing a friend. Someone to
care and to listen can turn a day from gloom to joy.
A smile. Nothing you say..........ah, but you are wrong.
A smile can lighten a dark world. Just a small smile can be so large!

Little things........you say...........nah, LARGE.........so very large.
There are no little things when they are done in love!

A gentle word spoken, a pat on the shoulder........
time to stop and listen to someone...........

like a cooling summer rain...........can ease a heart and soothe a pain.

And why they happen like they do.

And I can't comprehend, so many times,

This old world we're passing through.

But one thing I do know,

And I'm sure as sure can be.

God's got it all under control

And that's all that matters to me.
